The summer holidays are almost here and we wanted to remind our beneficiaries’ parents that if your family is in receipt of a weekly allowance from Police children’s Fund, your children may be eligible for a grant towards a school holiday activity.
We introduced this new initiative back in January and the Trustees will consider grants towards any holiday activity, club or camp which has either an educational or developmental benefit. We appreciate that some parents will need the extra support during the holidays and we like to help where we can.
Every child and young person is different and they all enjoy spending their time doing different things. A holiday activity is an opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and find new interests. There are so many choices out there during the holidays: sports, science, nature, art, dance, cooking, drama, music and even trips to the museum. The list is endless and there is something for everyone.
