Sherral’s Update

Hi everyone and welcome to the first of my quarterly updates where I’ll be telling you all the latest news from Police Children’s Fund.

Firstly, I am delighted that His Majesty King Charles III has accepted the Patronage of Police Children’s Fund. This comes as His Majesty marks the first anniversary of the coronation and we are honoured to have been recognised, especially given that HM Queen Elizabeth II was Patron of our organisation for almost 70 years.

Earlier this month we held our quarterly trustees’ meeting where we discuss Fund business, review policies, consider applications for new beneficiaries and award educational grants. Following this meeting, 24 new beneficiaries will be registered onto the Fund and just over £16k was approved towards school trips, driving lessons and higher education grants.

Following our name change and re-brand at the end of last year, we launched our new website in January. I wish to say a big thank you to all involved for the work they put into creating this lovely new site where you can find all the latest Fund news, our history, details of the grants we offer and how to apply; www.policechildrensfund.org.

Another big thank you to our wonderful donors who help us to continue our mission of providing police children with financial support and stability throughout their educational and developmental years. Every donation makes an enormous difference to a family in need.

Wishing you all a very pleasant summer and I look forward to bringing you more news and updates in August.
