We love it when parents and our beneficiaries let us know how they have used their grants.
Mum, Lizzy, a medically retired Hampshire officer, frequently engages with us to let us know how we have helped towards her son’s learning experiences and he has many of them!
Back in the February half term holiday, Lizzy took Louie to a cat café where he learned how to be gentle with animals and more recently, Louie participated in an owl sanctuary experience and a nature tadpole project. It seems Louie has a love of all things nature as well as being active in his after-school football club.
Louie and his mum went on a Thames River sightseeing trip to learn about London and the city’s landmarks. Lizzy tells us that Louie’s celebratory gift payments from Police Children’s Fund helped towards a trip to Disney Paris and Sealife Paris, both amazing experiences.
Our grants have also helped towards a tablet to assist Louie’s learning with technology and of course, children are always needing a new school uniform and Louie is no different, so our grants help with this also.
Lizzy explained that our grants really make a difference in the experiences she can offer and share with Louie.
