Supporting a Bright Future

A medically retired Hampshire officer whose daughter has been supported by Police Children’s Fund since 2022 has shared her thoughts about her experience of the Fund now that the support we can offer is nearing its end.

Jo told us “As I am coming to the end of the incredible support the Police Children’s Fund has provided, I want to again express my gratitude and appreciation. The support has been offered with care and understanding and without judgment. The assistance has removed some financial worry, and I can’t thank the Fund enough!”

Daughter Hannah also contacted us following her recent success, “I would like to express huge thanks for the support Police Children’s Fund has offered me. The financial assistance has been invaluable for me and my mum since her early retirement through ill health.”

Hannah went on to say “My ambition is to become a paramedic, and the Fund very generously awarded a grant towards the cost of my driving lessons and test for my C1 licence, which I successfully passed first time with no minors. Without the Police Children’s Fund this would have been extremely difficult and would have delayed my career progression.

Knowing that we can turn to the Fund and request support, has been very reassuring and my mum and I are incredibly grateful for both the financial support and the personal well wishes we have received.

Everyone at the Fund has been very caring, personal and supportive towards us and for that we are so thankful and grateful.”

Both proud mum and daughter thank the Fund for the great work we do and we wish Hannah every success in her chosen career.
