A New Trustee’s Perspective

We are delighted to welcome Jon Ross, a Devon and Cornwall Police Federation Representative, as a new Trustee of Police Children’s Fund.  Jon kindly shared a few words with us following his attendance at his first trustees’ meeting:

Why is the charity so important?
I’m passionate about looking after the kids of police officers and making sure they are supported as they go through life, particularly those who have suffered harm and trauma as a result of their parents putting themselves in harm’s way.

What are you looking forward to most about your new role as a Trustee?
I’ve never been a trustee of anything before… so I didn’t really know what to expect. It’s good hearing the individual stories from people who are going through troubled times – and realising that we can put things in place that can make that a bit easier for them.

What would you say to colleagues about why it’s so important to donate to Police Children’s Fund?
You never know when it might be you or your family that need some support, so get involved at an early stage.

We look forward to working with Jon.
