Towards the end of 2024, our trustees awarded an educational grant to a Hampshire beneficiary who had the opportunity to take a school trip to New York to bring the subject of performing arts to life.
Here at Police Children’s Fund we are always so delighted to hear about a beneficiary’s experience and how a grant has made a small difference to their education and wellbeing.
Harriet’s mum got in touch to let us know that Harriet went ice-skating in Central Park with a trip to Ellens Stardust Diner. The group of school friends ascended the Rockefeller Centre day and night to take in the New York skyline, they visited Ground Zero and took a trip to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty. They had many wonderful adventures.
Harriet’s highlight of the New York trip was the Dance workshop with the cast of the Moulin Rouge followed by attendance at the spectacular show itself and she tells us it was an incredible experience.
Mum, Claire, says “huge thanks and appreciation to the Fund for all of your help to get her there”! Please do get in touch or visit our website to find out more about our grants for police children.
