One of our young Leicestershire beneficiaries has recently experienced great success in her golfing pursuits and Finn’s proud dad has sent us a few words.
“Thank you again for the assistance provided to help Finn with her sporting activities… She played in her first ladies’ competition … which was a Championship event. She played in a field of 21 experienced lady players, some of whom are Ladies County players and have played for the National team.
“I entered Finn to get her introduced to the ladies’ section and enable her to feel more at ease around some of the adults at the club. Despite the nerves she went and won with a nett 10 under par and is now the 2025 Ladies Handicap Champion!!”
Finn was handed the trophy by the current Lady Captain and Finn’s dad tells us that her win now means her name will be added to the Champions’ board displayed in the clubhouse, showing all previous winners.
Well done Finn! We at Police Children’s Fund are delighted to have played a very small part in her increasing confidence and big wins.
