Let’s start by saying thank you, thank you, thank you Megan!
The month of September is generally known for the change in seasons, harvest time, numerous awareness days/observances and the start of a new academic year for our beneficiaries and all children and young people in our communities.
However, here at Police Children’s Fund, September 2025 will forever be remembered as the month in which Megan ran the New Forest Half Marathon and raised £thousands for the Fund.
Megan is the lovely mum of our very youngest beneficiary and yesterday, Sunday 14 September, she finished the half marathon in just over 2 hours raising over £4k for our beneficiaries…and the donations are still coming in.
There’s still time to support Megan here.
Megan very sadly lost her husband earlier this year. Alex was an officer serving with Hampshire Police and Megan was running in his memory and that of her friend Claire whom she also lost far too soon.
We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Megan and to all our other donors, supporters and fundraisers who help us continue our work in providing grants to support the education, development and wellbeing of police children following a significant change in their family life.
If you are interested in fundraising for us, please contact Nikki.
Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you Megan.
