Police Children’s Fund has been supporting the children of a medically retired Leicestershire officer for the last eight years and we are delighted to have been able to provide an opportunity for Leo to experience a language trip to Paris.
Leo had an amazing time and he wanted to let us know how much he appreciated the help from our charity.
“I’d like to say thank you so much for the support and giving me the opportunity to go to Paris. It means so much to me and I had the best time ever! My trip included visiting the Eiffel Tower, going to Disneyland Paris, enjoying a boat tour on the River Seine and venturing to the top of the Arc de Triomphe.
“We were there to explore the French culture, try many different types of French food and a lot more”
Leo went on to say, “The definite highlight of the trip was going to Disneyland Paris, being able to see the famous castle and braving the many different thrilling rides which I absolutely loved!
“It was incredibly special being able to see the Eiffel Tower for the first time, especially when it was lit up and glittering”.
In addition to all the fun and wonder of the trip, Leo explained that as a school language trip, it was a great opportunity to use his French vocabulary (from my GCSE French) and being immersed in the French language further developed his language skills. A few final words from Leo summed up the French experience, “I am incredibly grateful and again, I want to say thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity”.
