Sherral’s Summer Update

Hi everyone and welcome to my Summer-26 update.

We recently held our second trustees’ meeting of the year where the trustees awarded grants to help our beneficiaries take part in sports and school trips and learn vital skills such as swimming and driving. Some of our beneficiaries also received grants for computers and school transport.

All these grants ensure our beneficiaries are equipped with the tools they need to flourish alongside their peers, providing them with the opportunity to ‘carry on as normal’ following a significant change in family circumstances which may have presented a barrier to this.

If you’re about to purchase back to school supplies and would like to apply for a grant please get in touch or take a look at our website for full details.

Our trustees meet again in December and the closing date for applications is 13th November so don’t forget to check out the range of support we can offer.

We are delighted to have been selected as a charity partner for the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027. This will be our third time in a row with more runners than before and we will keep you updated on all the news nearer the time.

Everyone at Police Children’s Fund sends the very best of luck to those starting or returning to school, college and university. To those now leaving education we wish you every success for the future and we are delighted to have supported some of you along your journey.
